Kenneth Price Hinton, 88, son of Walter and Lula Price Hinton, was born Jan. 21, 1917, at Raymondville. He died April 26, 2005, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.Mr. Hinton joined the Air Force in 1942. After his military duty, he was a carpenter in Chicago, Ill. He later returned to St. Louis County, where he worked as a carpenter.After his retirement in 1979, he moved to the Lake of the Ozarks. He returned to Licking in 1986.He loved gardening and yard work.He accepted Christ as his personal savior at Ashley Creek Baptist Church and was baptized Oct. 31, 1937, at Montauk State Park. He was a member of Montauk Baptist Church.He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Fern Miller.Surviving are his wife, Pearl, of the home at Licking; four stepsons, Bobby Kinnaird of Raymondville, Dennis and Norman Kinnaird of Licking and Doyle Kinnaird of Winfield; two brothers, Glen of Raymondville and Leroy Hinton of Houston; two sisters, Alene Kirkman of Fenton and Jean Brown of Eureka; and five step-grandchildren.Services were April 29 at the Montauk Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Roberts officiating. Burial was in the Boone Creek Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home. “
