Susie May Stoops, 91, daughter of Frank Lowell and Rosa Ella Patterson Lowell, was born Feb. 8, 1914, at Hartshorn. She died May 4, 2005, at St. Francis Hospital in Mountain View.She married Louie Raymond “”Buck”” Stoops March 9, 1940. One child was brought to the union and three children were born during their 40-year marriage.Mrs. Stoops became a member of the Assembly of God at Hartshorn Jan. 2, 1951. She was a telephone operator for 10 years at the Summersville Telephone Co.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; children, Charles Lemons and Howard Lemons; brothers, Walter, Earl, Irvin and Ray Lowell; and one sister, Nova Colvin.Surviving are her children, Willard Stoops of Yellville, Ark., Wayne Stoops of Marshall, Ark., and Wanda Hunt of Summersville; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.Services were May 7 at the Bradford Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Steelman officiating. Burial was in the Riley Cemetery. “
