Chlorus Dale Payne, 68, son of Harmon Payne and Mina Straley Payne, was born Jan. 22, 1937, at Clay, Ill. He died June 7, 2005, after a battle with cancer.He was a dairy and stock farmer in the Yukon area.Private burial at a later date will be in the Smith Cemetery at Clay City, Ill. Local arrangements were under the direction of Bradford Funeral Home of Summersville.Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Wanda WestfallWanda Marie Westfall, 88, daughter of Wade and Nora Richards, was born Oct. 27, 1916, at Plato. She died June 9, 2005, at Hobbs, N.M.She married Norman Glen Hall, who preceded her in death Dec. 25, 1971.Mrs. Westfall retired from Civil Service after 25 plus years with the Quartermaster Laundry.She was a resident of Houston during her career before moving to Denver City, Texas, and to Hobbs, N.M.Surviving are one son, Jerry Hall of Kansas City; two daughters, Linda Lunsford of Denver City, Texas, and Margie Lunsford of Hobbs, N.M.; two sisters, Faye James of Roby and Hazel Hill of Branson; nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.Memorial services were June 13 at the First Assembly of God of Denver City with the Rev. Ronnie Lunsford officiating under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Homes of Denver City. Lloyd FreezeLloyd Vernon Freeze, 67, son of Dolphie and Zella Hill Freeze, was born Oct. 26, 1937, at St. Louis. He died June 9, 2005.Mr. Freeze was a bus driver for many years for the Licking R-8 School District. He can best recalled as “”Crash”” and as an overall good guy by former students.He liked to hunt, fish and spend time with his buddies every day at C & K Tractors and with his wife and dogs.He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and one daughter, Glenda Ann.Surviving are his wife, Dottie; one son, Dewayne Freeze of St. Louis; three brothers, Robert Freeze of Licking, Garnold Freeze of Salem and Donald Freeze of Licking; and two grandchildren.Memorial services are 4 o’clock Friday afternoon at the First Baptist Church in Licking with Dr. Wilbur Mobley officiating under the direction of Evans Funeral Home of Houston. “
