Robert Thomas “”Bob”” Link, 74, son of William and Phebe Tilton Link, was born June 26, 1931, at Bryce. He died July 10, 2005, at Lester E. Cox Medical Center South in Springfield after a short illness.He served with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, stationed at Johnston Atoll in the South Pacific.He married Marilyn Stevens Dec. 19, 1953, at Ottumwa, Iowa, soon after his discharge from the Air Force. They settled at Licking.Mr. Link worked for many years at Fort Leonard Wood for Van Der Ahe Van Lines, the Civil Service and Harbert-Yeargin. Most of that time was working as a transportation claims officer and post engineer dispatcher. He retired June 29, 1997.He was a member of the Assembly of God at Licking, served as a little league coach and leader of the Royal Rangers.He followed college sports closely and in later years loved camping and fishing with his grandson, Dylan.He was preceded in death by his parents.Surviving are his wife; son, Chris Link of Licking; one brother, Bill Link of Licking; one sister, June Edwards of Licking; and one grandson.Services were July 14 at the Assembly of God at Licking with Anzel Shoults officiating. Burial was in the Licking Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral Home of Licking. “
