Hazel Faye Boyce, 86, daughter of Ralph and Della Watson Stark, was born Sept. 18, 1918, in the Shady Grove community near Cabool. She died July 12, 2005, at James River Care Center in Springfield.She attended school at Pleasant Grove and graduated from Cabool High School in 1938.She married Lloyd Boyce Oct. 26, 1942. They had six children.Mrs. Boyce was a life-long member of the First United Methodist in Cabool, where she taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, was a member of the Women’s Guild and was a avid quilter. She enjoyed gardening and canning.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Herschel, Melvin and Hubert “”Pat”” Stark; sisters, Ella Mae Byrd and Pauline Rader.Surviving are her children, Larry Boyce of St. Louis, Jan Wise and Brad Boyce of Springfield, Leon Boyce of Pacific, Rick Boyce of Nixa and Brenda Priester of High Ridge; one sister, Mable Peachee of Cabool; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.Services were July 16 at the First United Methodist Church of Cabool with the Rev. Art Ellsworth, the Rev. Bob Moger and the Rev. Pat Singleton officiating. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool. “
