Russell Max Brackett, 75, son of Russell and Snoda Lea McKinney Brackett, was born Nov. 16, 1929, at Raymondville. He died Aug. 10, 2005, at his home at Traer, Iowa, from complications of leukemia.He married Ann Lea Flowers Jan. 14, 1950, at Houston. Mr. Brackett worked at Rath Packing until it closed. He worked for Heetland Electric for eight years, retiring in 1992.He was preceded in death by his parents.Surviving are his wife of the home at Traer; three daughters, Ann Elizabeth Wilson of Fernandina Beach, Fla., Barbara Dolash of Tama, Iowa, and Ruth Brackett of Fairbank, Iowa; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.The body was cremated under the direction of Overton Funeral Home of Traer, Iowa. Burial will be Sept. 3 at the Ozark Cemetery near Houston.Memorials may be made to Cedar Valley Hospice. “
