Pearl Naomi Spencer, 93, daughter of William Walter Dunivin and Leandra “”Anna”” Adeline Moore, was born Aug. 9, 1912, in Shannon County. She died Sept. 24, 2005, at Mountain View Health Care Center in Mountain View.She grew up in the Summersville area and attended Randolph School. Her family lived in Iowa for several years when she was a young girl.She married Roy Bridican Spencer June 10, 1935. They farmed at Ferguson and later at Olney before moving to Summersville.Mrs. Spencer was a member of the First Christian Church of Summersville for 46 years.She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; four brothers, Loyd Dunivin, Frank Dunivin, John Ray “”Bud”” Dunivin and William “”baby Bill”” Dunivin; four sisters, Lora Dunivin Burkett, Eula Dunivin Lay, Ruth “”Sis”” Dunivin Joiley and an infant sister.Surviving are her son, Michael of Summersville; two stepdaughters, Leora Mudd of Middletown and Eva Mangert of Edgar Springs; one brother, Claude Dunivin of Grants Pass, Ore.; two sisters, Beulah Dampier of Clinton, Miss., and Mabel Meier of Allenton; and two granddaughters and their families.Services were Sept. 27 at the Bradford Funeral Home Chapel in Summersville with Paul Hamm officiating. Burial was in the Summersville City Cemetery. “
