Roy Lewis Walters, 59, son of Arthur and Mary Walters, was born Dec. 13, 1945, at Sheridan, Ark. He died Sept. 24, 2005.He joined the Army at age 17 and spent most of his enlistment in Germany. He received many awards during his time in the service.He returned to Arkansas to work for the highway department.He married Evelyne Feb. 21, 1977. Mr. Walters enjoyed fishing, hunting, collecting guns, traveling and spending time with family and friends.His greatest passion in life was his love for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Earl.Surviving are his wife of the home at Raymondville; two sons, David Allen of Mena, Ark., and James of Raymondville; and a sister, Mary Louise Ballen of Houston, Texas.Graveside services were Sept. 26 at the Union Chapel Cemetery with Benjamin Pursifull officiating under the direction of Evans Funeral Home. “
