DALE EDWARDS

Dale Albert Edwards, 60, son of Lawrence “”Slim”” Edwards and Maxine Tibbs Edwards, was born Aug. 28, 1945, at Springfield, Ill. He died Oct. 25, 2005, at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center at Natchitoches, La. He grew up in the Licking area, where he graduated from high school. He served in the U.S. Air Force from June 4, 1963, until his retirement June 30, 1983.He married Lorene Hodges. They had two children.He later married Elaine Hinson of Campti, La., where they made their home.Surviving are his wife, Elaine; his children, Stephen Edwards of Mansfield, Texas, and Lanettte Lansfear of Indianapolis, Ind.; his parents of Licking; one sister, Mary Jane Brooks of Springfield; a brother, Danny Edwards of Macon, Ga.; and five grandchildren.Graveside services with full Air Force military honors were Oct. 31 at the Boone Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Wesley Wallace officiating under the direction of Fox Funeral Home. “
