Sadie Bernice Church, 103, daughter of Christopher Columbus Neel and Zora Belle Price Neel, was born Sept. 4, 1902, at Redford. She died Nov. 9, 2005, at the Kabul Nursing Home at Cabool.She married John E. Church in 1923. They were married 43 years and had eight children. The Churches were a part of a sawmill community around Missouri in the early years of their marriage, which later led them to California. They moved back to Missouri in 1964 and operated a restaurant at Summersville for several years. Mrs. Church moved to Cabool in 1998 and lived at Pine View Heights and the Kabul Nursing Home.She was a member of the Eastern Star for more than 50 years. She held several chair positions and served as worthy matron several times.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; two sisters, Nora Harrison and Myrtle Williams; one brother, Obia; an infant daughter, Carmalee; two sons, Noah and Francis Marion; three grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.Surviving are four daughters, Melba Frame of Tyrone, Evelyn Rust of Cabool, Letty Sue Horton of North Carolina and Rebecca Yancy of Arkansas; one son, Charles Christopher “”CC”” of Willow Springs; 45 grandchildren and numerous great, great-great and great-great-great-grandchildren; and a special friend and nurse, Gary Dickens of Cabool.Services were Nov. 11 at the Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home Chapel in Cabool with the Rev. Curtis Dowden officiating. Burial was in the Old Redford Cemetery at Redford.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kabul Nursing Home, Eastern Star, Redford Cemetery, American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. “
