Jessie David James, 59, son of Ora and Florence James, was born May 28, 1946. He died Nov. 16, 2005, at his home.Mr. James worked at Westinghouse in St. Louis, Rawlings Sporting Goods in Licking; and Houston House, where he was the “”best fix-it man”” and “”cookie monster.”” He was custodian, friend and mentor at Rolla High School, his most recent employment.He enjoyed farming, helping his son with the cattle, working in the garden with his wife, hunting, small animal swap meets and barnyard chores with his grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ethel Warren; and brothers, Lorn and Othel James.Surviving are his wife of 39 years; children, Annette and Eric; sisters, Hazel Cummings and Fern James of Vandalia and Louise White of Newburg; brothers, Kenny James of Licking, Lee James of Raymondville and Frank James of Yukon; and five grandchildren.Services were Nov. 19 at the Fox Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Everett Perkins officiating. Burial was in the Hutchason Cemetery near Licking. “
