Norma Hinkle Spencer, 89, daughter of Walter and Sarah Freeland Hinkle, was born Nov. 20, 1915, at Bucyrus. She died Nov. 10, 2005, at Houston House Nursing Center.She married Reuben James Oct. 22, 1932, at Simmons. They had six children.In later years, she married Wilson Spencer.Mrs. Spencer worked for several years at Bauer Shoe Factory in Cabool and Brown Shoe Co. in Houston. She was member of the First Baptist Church in Houston. She loved to crochet, was an avid reader and enjoyed working in her flower beds.She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands; one son, David Eugene; five brothers, Glen, Delmar, Carl, Robert and Wilfred Hinkle; and three sisters, Leslie Manley, Agnes Simmons Johnson and Eula Sullivan.Surviving are three sons, Ted of Bucyrus and Gerald and Leon of Houston; two daughters, Joyce Scott of Seymour and Doris McAnulla of Ozark; one sister, Nellie Nelson of Stitzer, Wis.; 18 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.Services were Nov. 14 at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wesley Wallace officiating. Burial was in the Emory Cemetery at Bucyrus.Memorials may be made to Gideons International or Houston House. “
