Gwyndola Rebecca Harper, 86, daughter of William and Pearl Tanner, was born Feb. 28, 1919, at Weinert, Texas. She died Dec. 3, 2005, at Houston House Nursing Center.She was known as Granny to friends and family and enjoyed gardening, cooking, fishing and watching wildlife.She attended church as long as her health allowed.She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Marvin and Buster; and sisters, Mildred and Lillian.Surviving are her husband of 67 years, Dale; three children, Durwood Harper of Houston, Phillip Harper of Conway, Ark., and Diane Hubbard of Robertsville; a brother, Billy Tanner of Anderson, Texas; a special niece, Peggy Scott of Las Vegas, Nev.; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.Services were Dec. 6 at the Success Baptist Church with her grandson, Tiffin Hubbard, assisted by the Rev. Ted Moore. Burial was in the Sunset Lane Cemetery near Success under the direction of Evans Funeral Home. “
