Marvin Yarnell, 67, son of Curtis and Zelda Yarnell, was born March 21, 1938, at Houston. He died Dec. 31, 2005.A former Houston resident, Mr. Yarnell was the builder and owner of Stockton State Park Marina for 13 years. He served 14 years as the Cedar County southern commissioner. He was a member of Stockton Lodge #283, Scottish Rite KCCH 32nd degree Mason, Abou Ben Adam Shrine Club and Lake Stockton Shrine Club.Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Dorothy F. Henson Yarnell of Stockton; their children, Brenda Yarnell of Springfield, Curt Yarnell and Bruce Yarnell of Stockton, Lisa Renfro of Houston, Angie Totten of St. Louis and Tanya Ball of Marshall, N.C.; his parents, formerly of Licking; siblings, Ervin Yarnell of Eudora, Kan., Gerald Yarnell of Springfield, Robert Yarnell of Rudy, Ark., and Lois Cunningham of Licking; and six great-grandchildren.Services were Jan. 3 at the Assembly of God in Stockton. Burial was in the Stockton Cemetery under the direction of Brumback Funeral Home of Stockton.Memorials may be made to the Lake Stockton Shrine Club for the Shriners Crippled Children’s Hospital or Stockton Nursing Home in care of Brumback Funeral Home. “
