Dorothy Naomi Cooper, 90, daughter of Francis Marion Morton and Naomi Bell Street, was born Feb. 16, 1915, at Haffner. She died Jan. 5, 2006, at St. Francis Hospital in Mountain View.She married Eli Cooper Feb. 8, 1938, at Summersville. They were married 43 years before his death Sept. 16, 1981.The Coopers lived on a farm near Summersville. After the death of her husband, she sold the farm and moved to Summersville. When she became ill, she moved to the Mountain View Health Care.Mrs. Cooper loved to piece quilts and grow flowers in her yard.She was saved at age 83 and attended the First Baptist Church in Summersville as long as she was able.She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; infant son, Jimmy Dale; and 11 brothers and sisters, Millie Myrtle, Martha Helen, Lucinda “”Cinda””; Aaron Abraham, Manda Anna, Lilburn Elis, Emma Jane, Bertha Magdalean, Marion Ernest, Pearl and Rachel Inez.Surviving are nieces and nephews.Services were Jan. 8 at the Bradford Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Phil Jester officiating. Burial was in the Summersville City Cemetery. “
