Carroll Helen Malano Condellone, 66, daughter of William and Delores Malano, was born Nov. 29, 1940, at Collinsville, Ill. She died Feb. 7, 2007, at Manor Care in Springfield of ovarian cancer.

She attended Collinsville, Ill., high school; Patricia Stevens Finishing College, Belleville Junior College and Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.

She was active as a model, serving on the Mademoiselle Board of Fashion and held several modeling/beauty titles.

She was an executive secretary, owned Beauty the Model Way school in Ohio, was hostess at Ebenezer’s Restaurant, manager at a Brown Derby Liquor store; and a Missouri Republican fund-raiser, organizer and supporter in the ’80s and early ’90s. She organized Lincoln Days and associated events. She owned and operated Condellone Properties and worked at MCI, where she earned more than 35 top salesperson awards and national ranking. Until recently, she worked at SunRocket.

She was divorced from Peter Condellone in a precedent-setting case in North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving are her son, Trent; and a sister, Tami Malano.

Memorial services are 2 o’clock today (Thursday) at James River Assembly.
