Kenneth Dale Craig, 68, son of Tom and Viola Hebblethewaite Craig, was born Feb. 28, 1938, at Licking. He died Feb. 17, 2007, at Lester E. Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.

He married Dorthy Lewis Sept. 20, 1958, at Licking. The Rev. Max Hamilton performed the ceremony.

Mr. Craig was a carpenter, building many homes in the Licking area for J.L. Friend Lumber over a 30-year period. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to fish in the Gulf with friends, watch old movies and westerns and travel in the West.

He accepted Christ at an early age.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, his parents; one brother, Harley Dean Craig; and two sisters, Eldena Craig and Maxine Galusha.

Surviving are his wife of 48 years of the home; son, Kenneth Steven Craig of Niangua; daughter, Kathryn Marie Bonnett of Springfield; two sisters, Ruth Williams of Licking and Doris Smith of St. James; two brothers, Leo Allen Craig of Roseville, Ill., and TJ Craig of St. James; three grandchildren and special friends, William and Barbara Grace of Terry, Miss.

Services were Feb. 19 at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Gifford and Dr. Wilbur Mobley officiating. Burial was in the Boone Creek Cemetery.
