Laura Chapman Kell, 83, daughter of John and Minnie Baker Chapman, was born Nov. 19, 1923, at Herculaneum. She died Feb. 5, 2007, at her home at Raymondville.
Mrs. Kell grew up at Herculaneum, where she attended school through the 10th grade.
She married Andrew Kell Dec. 11, 1943. They had two sons.
Mrs. Kell was a member of Faith Fellowship. She enjoyed her family and had them over for dinner every Sunday after church.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Paul and Olen; and a sister, Goldie.
Surviving are her husband of 63 years; two sons, Mikel of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Ronald of Raymondville; two brothers, Jessie of St. George, Utah, and Charles of Festus; sister, Bessie of St. Louis; and three grandchildren.
Services were Feb. 8 at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Villapiano officiating. Burial was in the McMahan Cemetery.
