Gilda Madelein Johns Johnson, 80, daughter of Williams and Neeley Wilhite Johns, was born Oct. 10, 1926, in Kansas. She died Jan. 30, 2007, at Terre Haute Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, Ind.

She met and married the Rev. J. Darrell Johnson in Missouri. They were married Nov. 28, 1946, and lived in Missouri and Indiana during their 60 year marriage.

Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and pastor’s wife and lived at Farmersburg, Ind.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving are her husband; three sons, Jack Darrell Johnson of Granite City, Ill., Lloyd Harold Johnson and Ivan Daniel Johnson of Columbia; daughter, Charlotte Irene Britton of Farmersburg, Ind.; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services were Feb. 5 at the Hickory Ridge Baptist Church with the Rev. Russell Kane officiating. Burial was in the Hickory Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
