Lawrence “Slim” Edwards, 82, son of Lawrence Earn and Theo Dochia Jane Kirk Edwards, was born May 25, 1924, in St. Louis. He died Feb. 9, 2007, at Houston.
He married Mary Maxine Tibbs May 26, 1945, in Illinois. They had three children.
Mr. Edwards worked in several places but enjoyed framing buildings best. He loved to fish and hunt.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Lloyd; and one son, Dale.
Surviving are his wife of the family home; one son, Danny Edwards of Macon, Ga.; one daughter, Mary Jane Edwards Brooks of Springfield; one sister, Virginia Ruth Buckner of Rolla; one brother, Kenneth Edwards of Licking; seven grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were Feb. 12 at the Boone Creek Cemetery with Elder Noel Mooney officiating under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.
