Dale Harper, 88, son of Ephram Huey and Ella Eugenia Hogue Harper, was born Aug. 25, 1918, at Grady, N.M. He died Feb. 28, 2007, at Heritage Park in Rolla.

Mr. Harper enjoyed woodworking, making things for his family and listening to gospel music. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren’s sporting events.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 67 years, Gwyndola, in 2005; four brothers and three sisters.

Surviving are three children, Durwood Harper of Houston, Phillip Harper of Conway, Ark., and Diane Hubbard of Houston; two brothers, Melvin Harper of Dumas, Texas, and Leo Harper of Colorado Springs, Colo.; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandcildren.

Services were March 3 at the Ozark Baptist Church with the Rev. Tiffin Hubbard and the Rev. Ted Moore officiating. Burial was in the Sunset Lane Cemetery at Success under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
