Kathleen Rosalind Adey Adams, 72, daughter of Lewis Sandison Jack and Rosalind Clark Jack, was born Oct. 6, 1934, at Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She died March 20, 2007, at Houston House Nursing Center after a lengthy battle with cancer.

She accepted Christ many years ago.

She married George Delbert Adey May 31, 1954, in Wallowa County, Ore. They had one son.

Mrs. Adams moved to Missouri with her husband in 1956, to a farm north of Houston on the Big Piney River, where she lived for the next 28 years.

Even though she was from a large city, she enjoyed the country, gardening, hunting, fishing and nature in general.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1971.

In 1984, she married Charles Adams of Houston. He died in 1998.

In her later years, she became a painter, crafting many pictures. She got hooked on the computer and enjoyed spending time keeping in touch with friends and family on the Internet.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving are her son, Chris of Rathdrum, Idaho; three stepchildren, Joe Adams of Newbury, Danny Adams of Salem and David Adams of Springfield; one brother, Alistair Jack of British Columbia, Canada; and her caregivers for the past few years, Travis and Velda Cross and Dwayne and Lucy Kruse; and dear friend, Dottie Batson of Houston.

Services were March 23 at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Van Williams officiating. Burial was in the Arthur’s Creek Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Community Hospice of Mountain Grove or Arthur’s Creek Cemetery.
