Olan Cass Evans, 73, son of Sylvie and Ann Dickinson Evans, was born Oct. 15, 1933, at Greenfield. He died Feb. 28, 2007, at Ozarks Medical Center at West Plains.

Mr. Evans joined the Navy Oct. 26, 1950. He served during the Korean War, receiving the National Defense Service Medal. He was discharged March 19, 1954.

His special interests were flying airplanes and bowling.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints at Houston.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, John Henry Evans, Earl Evans and Charlie Evans; and an infant sister.

Surviving are two brothers, Thomas Worsham of Arnold and Ike Houtz of Rogersville

The body was cremated under the direction of Evans Funeral Home. Memorial services are planned for a later date.
