Robert Edward Flowers, 49, son of Allen and Doris Gaddis Flowers, was born March 25, 1957, at Houston. He died March 2, 2007, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Okla.
He grew up in the Houston area, graduating from Houston High School in 1975, where he played football. He enjoyed riding and racing motorcycles.
He married Peggy Page of Houston in 1978. They had two children.
Mr. Flowers was a rural mail carrier with the U.S. Postal Service.
He attended the Church of Christ of Cabool.
For the last 10 years, his companion was Kathy Skaggs and her children.
In his free time, he enjoyed spending summers on the lake, water skiing and attending car races. He devoted time to the family farm, working with his horses. He participated in wagon and trail rides and an occasional mule chase.
He was preceded in death by his father and companion.
Surviving are his son, Bradley Flowers of Tulsa, Okla.; daughter, Amber Flowers of Portland, Ore.; mother of Houston; brother, Ricky Flowers of Houston; one granddaughter and Kathy’s children, Tyler and Brittany Skaggs.
Services were March 5 at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Groff officiating. Burial was in the Union Cemetery.
