A fund-raiser to generate money for the Animal Shelter of Texas County was announced on Monday and runs through Aug. 7.
Organizers are seeking used cellular telephones and inkjet cartridges to raise money for construction of a shelter on East Highway 17. Money will be received for each item collected. “You will be giving old technology new life and keep it from polluting our environment while also supporting our organization,” said Sandy Stanley, president.
