Donal Dwayne Bailey, 58, son of Marvin James Bailey and Doris Jean Smith Bailey, was born March 6, 1949, at Summersville. He died June 16, 2007, at Harry S Truman Veterans Hospital at Columbia.
He grew up in the Eunice and Summersville areas. He was a laborer on local farms, helping with cattle and general farm chores for many years.
He served in the U.S. Army from Aug. 12, 1966, to May 20, 1975.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Sharon Bailey.
Surviving are four children, Valerie Nygaard of River Falls, Wis., Marcia Hamill of Anderson, Billy Bailey of Licking and Marla Rhodes of Mountain Grove; three sisters, Brenda Scott of Red Feather Lake, Colo., Patrisha Madera of La Pine, Ore., and Tressa Geraldine Russell of Willow Springs; three brothers, Ronnie Bailey of Eunice, Mike Russell of Paris, Texas, and Billy Russell of Longview, Texas; and 11 grandchildren.
Graveside services with full military rites were June 20 at the Union Chapel Cemetery at Eunice under the direction of Bradford Funeral Home of Summersville.
