Robert D. “Bob” Lemons, 77, son of William Arthur and Edna Mae Price Lemons, was born July 8, 1930, at Raymondville. He died July 15, 2007, at his home at rural Richmond.
He married Marion R. Schubert of Kansas City. She preceded him in death in 1980.
Mr. Lemons was a 1949 graduate of Houston High School. He was a truck driver for Mid Central/Sysco Distributing for 15 years before retiring in 1989. He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Lemons lived in North Kansas City before moving to Richmond in 1969.
He was a member of the Teamsters Union and Raymondville Alumni Association.
In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers and sisters.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy, of the home; two sons, Harold and Charles Lemons of North Kansas City; two daughters, Karen Logston of Garland, Texas, and Linda Hetle of North Kansas City; one stepdaughter, Shelly Wilson of North Kansas City; one sister, Minnie Ruth Scrivner of Elkgrove, Calif.; eight grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and friend, Aunt Esther Miller.
Graveside services were July 18 at the Crowley Cemetery at Rayville under the direction of Thurman Funeral Home of Richmond.
