Lonnie Keith “Macky” McKee, 61, son of Edna R. McKee Buckner, was born Aug. 30, 1945, at Vida. He died July 4, 2007, at his home at Licking.
He grew up in the Success area, where he attended school.
He married Marjorie Dickinson Sept. 23, 1973, at Mountain Home, Ark.
Mr. McKee was an over-the-road truck driver for Rees Trucking Co. until health problems prevented him from working.
He enjoyed watching baseball and basketball on TV, going to truck and tractor pull events, older classic and muscle cars and working on puzzles.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Surviving are his wife; one son, Lonnell McKee of Columbia; one daughter, Tammy Jones of Bucyrus; two brothers, George Buckner of Licking and John Buckner of Bucyrus; four sisters, Carolyn Daniel and Kay Sullins of Licking, Donna Hancock of Bucyrus and Jean Rees of Houston; and three grandchildren.
Services were July 6 at the Bucyrus Baptist Church with the Rev. Tony Sigman officiating. Burial was in the C.T. Smith Cemetery at Success under the direction of Evans Funeral Home of Houston.
