Nadine Douglas Hildebrand, 85, daughter of Willis Green Douglas and Maude Davis Douglas, was born Sept. 8, 1921, on the Sycamore Hill Farm in the White Rock community near Houston. She died July 2, 2007, at Parkwood Health Care Center at Bedford, Texas.

After completing her high school education, she moved to Indianapolis, Ind., to stay with her aunt and uncle, Pearl Davis DeMotte and Maurice DeMotte.

While in Indianapolis, she was a secretary many years for Union Carbide Corp. and later until she retired for Ayres Department Stores managing the hat and wig departments.

She married Otto Hildebrand in March 1951 in Indianapolis. They were married 49 years before his death in June 2000.

Mrs. Hildebrand moved to Texas in 2002 to be near her niece, Elaine Evans Crabtree.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Imogene Douglas Evans and Fern Douglas Sillyman; and brother, Edward Douglas.

Surviving are nieces and nephews, Kyle Sillyman of Raymondville, Larry Sillyman of Houston, Joe Evans of Simpsonville, S.C., Eugene Douglas and Cathy Douglas Campbell of Carthage, Elaine Evans Crabtree of Colleyville, Texas, and Sue Douglas Bequette of Florrisant.

Services were July 7 at Flanner-Buchanan Washington-Park North Funeral Home at Indianapolis, Ind.
