Maxine Zona Barton Paris, 67, daughter of Thomas and Zelma Biswell Barton, was born Jan. 31, 1940, in Texas County. She died July 31, 2007.
She lived at Crouse, N.C., where she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Dan Blaesing; two brothers, Dewayne Barton and Thomas Barton; and a sister, Colleen Barton.
Surviving are her husband, M.E. “Gene” Paris of the home; two sons, Michael Blaesing of Berkeley and Paul Blaesing of Kansas; two daughters, Cheri Howard of Denver, N.C., and Julianne Radford of Georgia; one stepson, Marty Paris of Lincolnton, N.C.; one stepdaughter, Carma Paris-Denny of Georgia; three brothers, Bill Barton of Illinois, John Barton of Missouri and Dewey Barton of Kansas; three sisters, Dorothy Schott, Novella Gray and Cornella Ferguson of Missouri; and 12 grandchildren.
Services were Aug. 4 at Warlick Funeral Home Chapel in Lincolnton, N.C., with the Rev. Charles Ingle officiating. Burial was in the Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Christian Ministry of Lincoln County or the American Cancer Society.
