Barbara Ann McKee Smith, 60, daughter of Ulus F. “Buck” and Clyde Irene Faircloth McKee, was born Sept. 7, 1947, at Syracuse, Kan. She died Sept. 17, 2007, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.

She married Chester Smith Nov. 19, 1966. They had two children.

Mrs. Smith worked at Rawlings Sporting Goods in Licking for 10 years. She enjoyed quilting, embroidering, fishing and playing with her granddaughter.

She was a member of the Licking Church of Christ.

A former resident of Licking, she lived at Harrison, Ark.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Carol Sue McKee.

Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Debbie Smith and Loretta Marshall of Harrison, Ark.; one brother, Frank of Licking; one sister, Ellen of Bucyrus; and a granddaughter.

Services are 1 o’clock today (Thursday) at the Licking Church of Christ with Larry Tubbs officiating. Burial is in the Long Hollow Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Sonshine and Rainbow Day School or Springfield Children’s Miracle Network.
