Lora Magdeline Orr, 95, daughter of John L. and Elizabeth Wood Puckett, was born July 18, 1912, at Cabool. She died Aug. 28, 2007, at Houston House Nursing Center.
She graduated from Cabool High School April 13, 1933, and married Jack Orr the same day. They had two children.
Mrs. Orr and her family were all baptized Oct. 12, 1950, at the First Baptist Church in Cabool. She taught in the children’s department at the church for 21 years.
Mrs. Orr spent many hours working on the farm, in the garden and kitchen.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; five brothers and one sister.
Surviving are her son, the Rev. Norman Orr of Solo; daughter, Patricia Davis of Elliott, Maine; and five grandchildren.
Graveside services were Aug. 30 at the Cabool Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Chambers officiating under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Cabool.
