Frank Lewis Bishop, 78, son of Anna and Frank Bishop, died Sept. 23, 2007, at Wichita, Kan, from pancreatic cancer.

He was a 1947 graduate of Houston High School, where he was a member of the basketball team. He was a retired DCSMA civil service employee.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wilburn, and Jack; and sister, Edna Pate.

Surviving are his wife, Theresa of Wichita, Kan.; children, Brad of Valley Center, Kan., and Jan and Joseph of Wichita, Kan.; siblings, Bob Bishop and Gladine Liner of St. Louis, Thelma Francis, Hazel Hendrix and Norma Gentry of Coffeyville, Kan.; and four grandchildren.

Services were Sept. 27 at the Northside Church of Christ at Wichita, Kan., under the direction of Culbertson-Smith Mortuary.

Memorials may be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and Kansas Humane Society.
