Alene Elliott, 67, daughter of Dick and Ruth Quinn Smith, was born March 27, 1940, at Mountain Grove. She died Nov. 3, 2007, at her home at Alma.

She married Vernon Jackson July 4, 1956. He preceded her in death.

She married James Franklin Elliott Nov. 13, 1999, at Aurora. She had lived at Alma since 1999, moving there from Kansas City.

She was a retired LPN and member of the Agape Fellowship Church.

In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Smith.

Surviving are her husband; children, Mike Jackson of Aurora, Lisa Owens of Dover, Ark., James Jackson of Springfield, Amy Jackson of Cabool and Katy Carter of Mountain Grove; stepson, Jim E. Elliott of Kansas City; stepdaughter, Diana Elliott of St. Joseph; one sister, Carol Vasseur of DeWitt, Ark.; one brother, William Smith of San Antonio, Texas; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and four step-grandchildren

Services were Nov. 6 at the Agape Fellowship Church at Concordia with the Rev. Bill Olinger officiating. Graveside services are at a later date at Miller Cemetery at Elk Creek.

Memorials may be made to Agape Fellowship Church in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home at Concordia.
