Michael Kevin Moffitt Sr., 53, son of John M. Moffitt and Marjorie Moffitt, was born May 5, 1954, at Chicago, Ill. He died Oct. 23, 2007, after a lengthy battle with cancer.
He served in the U.S. Army for 20 years and was a sergeant with the Missouri Department of Corrections for 12 years.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara Moffitt of Licking; sons, Michael K. Moffitt Jr. and Joseph Moffitt of Doolittle; stepdaughter, Christina Martinez of Castaic, Calif.; his mother of Lindenhurst, Ill.; sister, Jackie Thompson of Johnsburg, Ill.; and two step-grandchildren.
Memorial services were Oct. 26 at the Fox Funeral Home Chapel in Licking.
