Crime lab evidence has linked a former employee to separate shootings of show room windows at Wehr Motors of the Ozarks in Dunn.
Louie D. Adams, 66, was arrested and charged last Wednesday after firearms and shell casings analyzed by Missouri State Highway Patrol crime lab in Jefferson City linked the former Wehr employee to the July 6 and 16 shootings at the business.
Texas County Sheriff Carl Watson said Adams was a former Wehr employee.
“Apparently he left on bad terms,” Watson said.
Adams, who faces two counts of unlawful use of a weapon and two counts of property damage, was released on $35,000 bail. He faces up to 30 years in the department of corrections.
Adams was questioned as a “person of interest” after authorities recovered shell casings and partial bullets from the scene. Damage was sustained to the building, windows and walls inside the dealership.
Charges have not been filed in a third shooting July 17 at Wehr Motors in Mountain Grove, where officers were notified of bullet holes in the show room. Watson said the investigation continues.
