Patricia Ann Huff, 73, daughter of Arthur Albert and Ruth Pauline Phillips Leib, was born March 4, 1934, in Crawford County. She died Dec. 17, 2007, at the home of her daughter at Winona.

Mrs. Huff was a registered nurse.

As a Cherokee Indian, her real love was talking about her heritage, going to and dancing at powwows and designing and sewing her Indian dresses. She walked a red road and was head elder in the Thunderbird Society.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Avis Leib and Deloris Truitt.

Surviving are her sons, William Arthur Reno of Licking, Daniel Frank Gillard of Winona and James Douglas Gillard of Kentucky; daughters, Ruth Ann Mohr and Cherry Lynn Goodin of Winona; five sisters, Lovell Vallette and Vonda Dannells of Illinois, Amellie Densmore of Licking and Grace Duck of Michigan; one brother, Harold Leib of Illinois; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services were Dec. 19 at the Fox Funeral Home Chapel with Harold Leib and Jim Goodwin officiating. A Native American burial ceremony was at the Boone Creek Cemetery.
