A Cabool man accused of fraud at a Houston business used the same scam in Mountain View, Houston police said.

Jared Rebish, 21, of Cabool, was identified as the man who on Nov. 21 walked into the Houston Do-it Center and charged a large quality of wire to a local construction firm, Gentry Construction Co. Workers were suspicious and later found out the purchase was not legitimate.

Authorities said Rebish gave a confession of using the same ruse at Mountain View Lumber Co., where $3,103 in wire was charged to Vaughn Redi-Mix. Rebish then sold the material for $332 to A-Z Recycling.
