Texas County authorities arrested two men Friday night while cooking methamphetamine inside an abandoned house eight miles northeast of Raymondville.
Adam L. Kirkwood, 19, of Houston and Derrick A. Scott, 25, of Licking were arrested at the Sackett Road scene about 8:30 p.m., Sheriff Carl Watson said. Watson believes the two are connected to a meth lab that was dumped in a sinkhole last week north of Licking.
Both men are charged with attempting to manufacture a controlled substance and first-degree trespassing. They are being housed at the Texas County Sheriff’s Department with $75,000 bonds.
