The Texas County Sheriff’s Department responded to 2,065 calls in 2007, Sheriff Carl Watson reported this week.
Responses to those calls resulted in 117 felony charges and 2,955 papers served by the sheriff’s department.
As of Monday morning, Watson said 40 persons were being held at the Texas County Jail. Another five are in Miller County while Phelps County and the City of Cabool are housing one inmate apiece.
