A Hamrick Terrace Apartments renovation project in Houston was awarded a $473,643 grant last week for the rehabilitation of a 48-unit USDA Section 515 project.
The Bank of Houston partnered with Houston Housing Inc. for the grant. Ten communities in Missouri recently received a total of $3 million in Affordable Housing Program grants.
The funds, awarded by the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines, provide rental and homeownership opportunities for very low, low and moderate-income households. The grants will assist in the construction or renovation of more than 400 units of affordable housing in Missouri.
