Henry D. Cole, 90, the 14th child of James and Elvira Stites Cole, was born Sept. 2, 1917, at Granby. He died Dec. 26, 2007, at Houston House Nursing Center.
He married Joyce Herington Oct. 7, 1939, at Cedar Rapids, Iowa. They had three children.
Mr. Cole was a Church of God minister for 50 years. After living in other states for 74 years, he and his wife moved back to Missouri Jan. 12, 2007, making their home in Houston.
They were members of the First Church of God, where their son-in-law, James Powell, was pastor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, seven sisters and six brothers.
Surviving are his wife; daughters, Judith Powell of Houston and Mary Kaye Miller of Hubertus, Wis.; son, Dennis Cole of Trinity, Fla.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services were Dec. 31 at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel with family members sharing about his life. Cremation followed the services.
