Joyce Earnestine Rodgers, 71, daughter of Jesse and Gladys Scott Garrison, was born July 11, 1936, near Licking. She died Jan. 21, 2008, at Houston.

A graduate of Licking High School, she married Wilbur Lynn Rodgers Dec. 22, 1954. They had three children while living at Flint, Mich.

The Rodgers lived at Fenton, Mich., for 14 years, returning to Licking in 1968.

Mrs. Rodgers enjoyed the farm, checking the cattle and being outdoors.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Rhonda Ellen in 1958; her husband in 2004; and a brother, Harvey Garrison.

Surviving are two sons, Arthur L. Rodgers and James N. Rodgers of Licking; two brothers, Loren Garrison of Licking and Len Garrison of Hermann; and one sister, Margie Alexie of Marrero, La.

Services were Jan. 23 at the Fox Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Jett officiating. Burial was in the Williams Cemetery.
