Juanita Cox, 84, daughter of Clayton and Susan Reeves Kirkpatrick, was born June 13, 1923, at Siloam Springs, Ark. She died Dec. 28, 2007, at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains. She was a resident of Willow Care Nursing Home.
She married Russell “Joe” Cox March 16, 1945. They had four children.
Mrs. Cox enjoyed quilting, sewing, bluegrass music, playing bingo, picnics and spending time with her family.
She was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ruth; son, Gary; and brother, Wilburn Kirkpatrick.
Surviving are her husband of 62 years; her children, Pat Coatney of Chouteau, Okla., Mike Cox of Cabool and Rhonda Peterson of Livingston, Mont.; brothers, Herbert Kirkpatrick and Leroy Kirkpatrick; sister, Christine McKean; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services are 2 o’clock today (Thursday) at the Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home Chapel in Cabool with the Rev. Art Ellsworth officiating. Burial is in the Cabool Cemetery.
