Sonja Dorthea Dodson DeBord, 59, daughter of Doyle and Dorthea H. Dodson, was born March 11, 1948, at Oxburg, Germany. She died Jan. 16, 2008, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
She married Billie Ray DeBord Oct. 8, 1966, at Ardmore, Okla. They had six children.
Mrs. DeBord enjoyed writing to her pen pals, reading, crocheting, watching the Food Network, cooking and spending time with her family.
She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church at Licking.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one daughter, Billie Raychael DeBord Hall.
Surviving are her husband of the home; five children, Josef and Michael of Rolla, Veronika Gooding of Licking, Steven of St. James and Natalie Givens of Clarksville, Tenn.; one brother, Doyle J. Dodson Jr. of Texas; one sister, Eveline Redwine of Asbury; and 14 grandchildren.
A memorial Mass was Jan. 19 at St. John’s Catholic Church at Licking with Father Matthew Rehauer officiating under the direction of Fox Funeral Home of Licking.
