A Houston woman was arrested on several outstanding warrants after police were called to shoplifting incident Christmas Eve.
Officers charged Charlene K. Douglas, 44, of 8164 Morton Road, with stealing under $500 following an incident at Houston Wal-Mart. Police said a CD, a pair of woman’s panties and a pair of sleep pants were taken. The cost of the merchandise was about $21. A routine check showed Douglas wanted on warrants from Douglas, Texas and Dent counties – all on charges of passing bad checks. The total bond was $3,000.
In other matters, police:
-Cited Michael P. Renshaw, 30, Mountain View, with disobeying an electric signal on Dec. 28.
-Arrested Tosha L. Irwin, 25, of Plato, on a Phelps County warrant charging him with failure to appear on a traffic charge. Bond was set at $1,000.
-Investigated a Christmas Day accident that police said occurred when a vehicle driven by Terry W. White, 24, 302 Broadway, pulled from a private drive onto Broadway Street, and struck a car operated by Michael P. Bleckler, 27, of 8168 Morton Road. White was charged with operating a motor vehicle without a license and having no insurance.
