James Allen Welch, 55, son of Lum Allen Welch and Avis Cleo Jaycox Welch, was born Jan. 19, 1953, at Oakland, Calif. He died Feb. 15, 2008.
He married Judi Breeden Dec. 14, 1973.
Mr. Welch worked for the U.S. Forest Service and traveled to many states on firefighting details.
He loved fishing and hunting with his family.
Surviving are his wife of the home; daughter, Amy Welch of Salem; three grandchildren and two special nephews.
Memorial services were Feb. 18 at the Fox Funeral Home Chapel in Licking with the Rev. Harry Foley and Roger Kinder officiating.
