Michael Allan Ming, 57, son of Robert Clifford Ming and Minnie Jean Sampley Ming, was born July 4, 1950, at Standardville, Utah. He died Feb. 14, 2008, at Hope, Ark., following a massive heart attack.
He grew up at Newburg Park, Calif, on Danielson’s Ranch. He attended Walnut Elementary School and graduated from Thousand Oaks High School. He earned a journeyman’s apprenticeship in carpentry in 1973.
He married Paula Sue Kilgore Jan. 30, 1970. They had two children.
The Mings moved to Missouri in 1977 and bought a one-room school house at Bucyrus, where he was a carpenter and dental technician. He was a driver for Celadon Trucking.
Mr. Ming was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt, fish and garden. He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.
He was preceded in death by his mother; a brother, Larry Ming; and a sister, Dianne.
Surviving are his wife of the home; father of Texas; one son, Michael Edward Ming of Camdenton; one daughter, Shannan Louise Ming Minter of Bucyrus; two brothers, Robert Ming of Alma, Ark., and Rex Randall Ming of Michigan; and seven grandchildren.
Memorial services are 3 o’clock Saturday at Mr. Ming’s home at Bucyrus.
Memorials may be made to a fund at The Bank of Houston for the Missouri Department of Conservation or American Heart Association.
The body was cremated under the direction of Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home at Hope, Ark.
