Grace Hamilton, 87, daughter of Arthur Hamilton and Maude Massengill Hamilton, was born Feb. 19, 1921, at Oakside. She died March 1, 2008, at her home.
Mrs. Hamilton was a supervisor at Angelica Uniform Factory until her retirement.
She loved to sew and made many little girls’ dresses over the years. She enjoyed gardening and shared the harvest from her garden.
She was a charter member of the Church of God of Prophecy at Summersville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; seven infant brothers and sisters and an adopted grandson.
Surviving are her adopted family, Lloyd Jackson of Lake St. Louis, Mike Jackson of Summersville and Annette Moore of O’Fallon.
Services were March 5 at the Bradford Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Stacey Prewett officiating. Burial was in the Oakside Cemetery.
