Alvie Joe Robinson Sr., 73, son of Juluis and Annie Rose Fulk Robinson, was born June 26, 1934, in Butler County near Poplar Bluff. He died March 15, 2008, at the home of his daughter at Hulbert, Okla.
He married Laura Willahmae Vandevort Sept. 14, 1961, at Corning, Ark. They had three children.
Mr. Robinson attended the Midvale Pentecostal Holiness Church and First United Methodist Church with his daughter at Wagoner, Okla.
He moved fishing. After the death of his wife in 2007, his health declined and he went to his daughter’s.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; a stillborn twin son; stepchildren, Joseph L., William Monta, Priscilla March, Letha Faye, Drucilla Elizabeth and several stillborn infants; four brothers, Bob, Bruce, Albert and Lyle; and one sister, Marie Barkley.
Surviving are Alvie Joe “A.J.” Robinson Jr. of Hartshorn, Laura Fruechting of Hulbert, Okla., Clyde Kissee of Salem, Roger Kissee and Sheila Drake of St. Louis and Vershia Lee of Marion, Ill.; 22 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
Services were March 19 at the Bradford Funeral Home Chapel in Summersville with the Rev. Emmett Bradford officiating. Burial was in the Moark Cemetery at Moark, Ark.
